I have noticed that FSX (on my PC) does not like task-switching, so if you want to switch to another program, press ESC first (is this normal for FSX?). In this case it is also necessary to place FSUIPC.dll in the FS9 folder called Modules Īfter loading the file (and perhaps tweaking it), you can just press Start, minimize FaceTrackNoIR and start FSX (or whatever). for FSX you can use the file SimConnect.ini.INI files (which contain parameter-settings) in the default Settings folder.

So you don't need any gear, just your head (who goes flying without his head these days? If you installed update 4 of FaceTrackNoIR properly, then there are some. FaceTrackNoIR does what it says: it tracks your face. In my previous post on this thread i might have been mistaken, I think I used freetrack and couldnt get it to work. Now im all confused, is freetrack and facetracknoir the same program?Disregard my previous post, I can be mistaken as im not sure what program I used anymore.SorryHi flyinpilot212121,No problemo: you must have tried Free-track, which is a great program, but does indeed require some head-gear with LED's. Now what do I have to do to get this work in FSX? Any special setting I am missing? You say it connects via SimConnect, but do I need to do more than start the application and run face tracking? Thanks for some help, as this might be a useful thing for me! I downloaded it and it seems to track my face, at least inside the program. Any questions? Post them here.V4FriendBTW.: It would be greatly appreciated if content users become donators. 20 inspirational hues to ignite newfound passions and enhance every corner of your home. Of course, this is only the very first release version and once you have upgraded, you can always receive updates for the App which are sure to come!ĭid you install all of the tracker plugins? We have had some reports about NTDLL related crashes, which seem to be caused by one of the tracker plugins. I hope to get more feedback like yours, so I can convince Visage to improve it. Indeed, the tracking quality very much depends on optimal lighting conditions. for FSX you can use the file SimConnect.ini for FS2002/FS2004 you use FS2004.ini. The problem may be, that your phone is not connected to the PC network? Does 'ping test' work? I'm glad that at least the USB communication works: it was a bit of a challenge to add it to the App 🙂, but I think it is 'a must-have'. Initially, FacePoseApp only supported OSC (on UDP), but some testers experienced the same difficulties. I'd say the app has much potential as an alternative to TrackIR and webcams. Periodically, FacePoseApp initializes and also FaceTrackNoIR CTDs, but the two events are unrelated. I didn't extensively test either the two filters or curve modification. Adjusting the smoothing is tricky, but the jitters can be minimized. With USB, FaceTrackNoIR works fine with the FreeTrack 2.1 protocol, which is I think what's used for XP11.Īlso with USB, the SimConnect SP2 protocol shows activity in FaceTrackNoIR and it works with P3d5, although at the default settings, the head tracking is too jittery. Ive never bothered with the face track option on PC but used it on xbox one, worked pretty well but didnt feel precise like the tir. just nice in the game but not a must like it is in flying sims. The UDP port 5550 is open in the Win 10 firewall. adds some imersion but doent change the games feel or add anybenefits other than some immersion. But with OSC, FaceTrackNoIR shows no activity on any axis.
